A free evening at Second Home Spitalfields. Everyone gets a printed sheet of tasks and chooses which to do.
Everyone gets a printed sheet of tasks and chooses what to do, in what order and for how long, alone or with others.
Doors open at 6pm. Session runs from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Free entry. The bar is open.
What is Shubidubi?
Not a workshop, not a performance, not a talk.
No tech, no briefing, no evaluation.
It gives people an excuse to act. Time when nobody asks you what it’s for.
This evening is meant to be shared. If you can, bring someone you think should experience it. You’re welcome to come on your own, too. Each person should book their own place.
Tasks from a previous session
- “Draw the person opposite you without lifting your pen. Stop when they notice.”
- “Create a diagram explaining the current world order without naming countries or leaders.”
- “Trace the outlines of 19 different hands.”
What to expect
- Come at 6pm, get a drink and a sheet.
- From 6:30pm, the room is yours to move around in. Do as many tasks as you like.
- Nothing to bring, nothing to prepare.
- The session will be photographed. Tell us if you’d rather not be in the pictures.
Shubidubi is designed and run by Alejandro Ramos Saavedra, a designer based in London.
