Día de los Muertos at Cavita

This Día de los Muertos, Cavita invites you on a journey through Mictlán, the Aztec underworld. The souls of the dead were believed to travel through nine levels before reaching their final rest. Tonawaka: Los Nueve Niveles is a 9-course tasting menu inspired by each stage of that journey.

Every course comes with a matching drink, and the dinner is served in the intimate setting of Maya, our hi-fi agave bar beneath Cavita. Seating is limited to 30 guests. The day opens earlier with La Ofrenda, an ancestral altar that is free and open to all.

At 3:30pm there will be a short ritual and explanation led by Tonawaka Kwauhtlinxan, guardian of the Tzentlawakayotl and Tetzkatlipoka tradition.

For El Tzompantli, we invite you to bring a photo of someone who has passed, whether a person or a pet, to place on the altar.

Friday 30 October · Dinner 6:00pm £65 per person, including the 9-course menu and paired drinks Maya at Cavita,
